Tabella Finland Oy, founded in 1995, is a Finnish software company that develops financial planning- and analyzing software. Tabella combines reporting, planning, and calculation in one cost-effective, ready-made system that excels in combining data from different sources and flexible customization of reporting structures.

Tabella started to look for a new tool about a year ago. Elisa Nuutinen from Tabella says:

– I was looking for a tool that would combine time tracking and invoicing, and made contract management easier, among other things. Earlier we had invoicing and work hour accounting in different systems, which caused a lot of manual work. For example, it wasn’t possible to mass edit contracts, so we had to do e.g. price changes individually for each customer. It also wasn’t possible to schedule changes. Our CEO had received a newsletter from Koho in their email, and gave me a hint to check them out. After a quick comparison process, we advanced with Koho within a few weeks.

In Koho sub-areas were combined and manual work reduced

Nuutinen states, that their whole process has become much more streamlined along Koho. Now all the offers are in one place, and you can create a contract and a project straight from the offer. This speeds up and clarifies the sales process and communication. Koho is also integrated with a rest/api interface to Tabella’s reporting by transferring e.g. billing materials and marked hours per person, project, and customer: thus the expenditure of the profit-and-loss account that is transferred from accounting is brought to a more accurate level.

According to Nuutinen, the best features of Koho for Tabella are specifically mass editing contracts, time tracking, sales invoicing, and sales and project management.

Koho’s fast reaction to development ideas was a positive surprise to Tabella

Nuutinen tells to have been positively surprised by Koho’s fast reaction to both inquiries and development suggestions, and the customer support works excellently. Another great thing has also been the customization of the system to fit specifically their needs.

As a challenge, Tabella had a bit rarer CRM-system where they had data from several years, and which they wanted to utilize also in Koho. With some contract products the data had to be fixed a few times in the beginning, but also in this case the problems were quickly assessed and fixed.

Otherwise the deployment process was a success, despite the tight schedule. Also the user interface has proven to be easy to use and understand, mentions Nuutinen.
