Tabella reduced manual work and improved reporting accuracy with the help of Koho


Tabella Finland Oy is a Finnish software company founded in 1995 that develops financial planning and analysis software. Tabella combines reporting, planning and calculation into one cost-effective, ready-to-use system, whose strengths include the ability to combine data from different sources and the flexible customisability of reporting structures.
Tabella started looking for a new system about a year ago. Elisa Nuutinen from Tabella says:
“I was looking for a system that would merge, among other things, hourly invoicing and billing, as well as facilitate contract management. Previously, we had invoicing and hourly accounting in different systems, which required a lot of manual work. For example, it was not possible to make mass changes to contracts, so price changes had to be made individually for each customer. It was also not possible to schedule contract changes.
Our CEO had received a Koho newsletter in his email and advised us about Koho. After a quick comparison, we were up and running with Koho in just a few weeks.”
With Koho, the departments were integrated and manual work was reduced
Nuutinen says that the whole process has become much more streamlined with Koho. In Koho, tenders are now in one place and the tender is used to directly conclude the contract and create the project. This speeds up and clarifies sales and communication. Koho is also integrated with the API (REST) interface to Tabella’s reporting by transferring, among other things, invoicing data and recorded hours by person, project and client. This complements the more detailed income statement expense information that is transferred from accounting.
Nuutinen says that Koho’s best features for them are the mass processing of contracts, hourly invoicing and sales and project management.
Koho’s quick response to development suggestions was a positive surprise to Tabella
Nuutinen says she was pleasantly surprised by Koho’s quick response to both questions and development suggestions, and the excellent customer support. Another great thing has been the tailoring of the software to their specific needs.
The challenge for Tabella was a slightly less common CRM system with a lot of data from several years ago, which they also wanted to use in Koho. With some of the contract products, the data was corrected a few times at the beginning, but again, the problems were responded to and resolved quickly.
Otherwise, the roll-out was successful despite the short timeframe. Nuutinen says that they also found the interface easy to use and understand.
“I have recommended and will recommend Koho to other similar companies”, Nuutinen concludes.
